Hi and Welcome to " Wags in Stitches "

My name is Judi.....Mom to three wonderful adult kids and as of January 19th, we have a new addition to the family, a beautiful Granddaughter Brooklyn Ann Mallinson!!!

My fur kids include one retired Greyhound named Fallon who is 8, a 3 year old Italian Greyhound named Mallory and one big fat cat named Louie who is 15. Our Bridge boy's Quade and Chaz, both retired racers: Quade was 11 and a half when he passed away from thyroid cancer, Chaz was fourteen and a half when he passed away in October 2010. I have been truly blessed with our boys and miss them greatly. 

 I was on the board of our local Spca for 6 years and also a past board member for 3 years to the Greyhound adoption Group Gpac. A past therapy dog volunteer with St. John Ambulance for 2 years with my greyhound partner Quade ( RIP ) and the statistician for the local organization. We have also had the pleasure of  fostering  many many Greyhounds for Gpac...

I worked for 2 years full time at a Domain Registrar doing technical support. Since then I have been managing a local animal shelter, this has been stressful, enjoyable as I love working with the animals and the staff, however it left me no time to make collars and this too is my passion. Therefore a new manager has taken over and I now can make more collars. I've got some fun projects to work on... :-) I still work at the animal shelter part time and love it.

I'm located in Tusket Nova Scotia Canada and started making collars 9 years ago and it has grown into a love of mine, creating fun and elegant collars for dogs of all breeds that I can take pride in making quality and safe products for is very rewarding. The best part is going to an event and spotting my collars on the dogs there. When an email comes from a client with a picture of their dog wearing their new collar I love to show them off to the world on my site. It's like Christmas for me opening the emails to see the pictures...so thank you all for sharing with me. 

What can you expect from an item from Wags in Stitches ?.....Be assured of a Quality item made in a smoke free home .....I'm a perfectionist when it comes to sewing.  Each item is  handmade by me with special attention to detail and quality. I use premium hardware mostly, although to be competitive in pricing or availability of the premium hardware I may use alternative hardware for cotton prints, equally as safe just not as elegant looking. All Silk Brocades and special designs will have premium hardware. Once you own one of my collars you'll not question the quality. 

Don't forget to have a look into my painting gallery too.. I don't have much spare time to paint any longer but I do love it. 

 All fabrics shown in the martingale section can be made into most size collars including buckle collars.....I'm happy to do custom collars, if there is a print or color your looking for and you do not see it feel free to ask and I'll see what I can find for you.
